Frances Gonzales

Hello all! I’d like to introduce, or re-introduce to you Frances Gonzales our Rural Vice Chair. Frances has held this position in the past and comes with a great wealth of knowledge and experience working with caucuses, candidates and campaigns. After seeing that no one was elected for the position during our elections, she chose to step up and offered herself to be considered for the position. After submitting her letter of interest, our executive committee reviewed it, and made the unanimous decision to appoint Frances to the vice chair rural position. Welcome Vice Chair Rural Frances Gonzales!  We are happy to have you and looking forward to having you as part of our leadership team!

About Frances:

Since August 2023, I was appointed to the position of vice-chair and worked closely with the team in executive meetings, monthly meetings and overseeing events and tabling with the Regional Reps. I engaged with and met folks from around the state and in particular, the rural areas.  I would like to look at how we engage with the rural areas and look into some ideas to attract members and Regional Reps, and also how to fill the Metro VC. It will need to be a team effort, of which I would like to be a part of.
