State-Wide Chair: Christina De La Torre
Hello, I am Christina De La Torre and I am running for Statewide Chair of Fuerzas Unidas Caucus. I am committed to serving the interests of Fuerzas Unidas and it’s mission of working together to empower Hispanos across New Mexico. As Statewide Caucus Chair, I will continue the work to drive positive change to foster a more inclusive and responsive political environment.
For the last two years I have held the Secretary position and I believe I have relevant experience with the inner workings of the caucus and can bring a unique perspective and skill set to the role of Statewide Chair.
Born and raised in Las Cruces, NM, I have deep roots in the southern rural part of New Mexico and have an understanding of the issues that matter most to its residents.
Join me in building a brighter future for Hispanics in New Mexico and ensuring that voices are heard and valued. Together, we can create positive change and make a difference. I would appreciate your vote for me as Statewide Chair of Fuerzas Unidas Caucus.

State-Wide Treasurer: Felice Garcia
I am a Native New Mexican, and have been a small business owner for over 35 years. I have been actively involved in the Democratic Party since 2017 and have served as the Fuerzas Unidas Caucus chair since 2022. My experience as a small business owner prepared me for the demands of not just fundraising but finding creative ways to work with other members of our leadership to keep membership informed and engaged.
Being engaged as a ward chair, precinct chair, State Central Committee member and community activist/organizer prepared me for the very accessible New Mexico political process and all of its unique challenges.
The combination of these experiences have guided my success as caucus treasurer. We have more than doubled our treasury and expanded our outreach to membership throughout the state. I hope to continue my work as the treasurer of the Fuerzas Unidas Caucus and be a part of the growing leadership team as we work to empower and engage Latinos and Hispanos through this challenging general election and to long term success. To be Eligible to Run for Any of the Following Positions:

You Must:
- Have completed the Membership Form by the Nomination deadline of 11:59 p.m. on April 30, 2024.
- Identify yourself as Hispano, or any variation of, as defned by Fuerzas Unidas Caucus By-Laws (Article III, Section A: Voting Membership Requirements)
- For Regional Representative positions, you must live in the region in which you are running.
- You can be an elected public offcial to run for an elected position within the caucus with the exception of State Level positions of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. If you are an elected public offcial your completed self- nomination form serves as agreement that you will not use membership information for your campaigns, nor hold campaign events as a representative of Fuerzas Unidas Caucus. Additionally, you must be able and willing to fulfll the role of the position you are running for.
- Persons may not hold or run for more than one Caucus position.
- All nominations are by self-nomination and must include 2-3 paragraphs stating why you are running for the position.
- Nomination forms must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. April 30, 2024.
