Pilar Moreno has worked for over 30 years with the community:  first with Community Services Center as a Vista Volunteer and then later as Director of Outreach Services; and then worked with La Casa Family Health Center as Outreach Worker.  She has been a member of the City of Portales Cultural Affairs Committee for over 22 years.  She has organized the Fiesta de Families event during those years.  

Pilar is currently working part time with Eastern Plains Community Action Agency which helps with the needs of the community.  Another important mission she has is to educate people on their voting rights as well as the voting process.
